FASHION AS ART/ART AS FASHION

I love to play with fabric dyes and resist techniques on natural fibers!

A large part of my work is based on ancient images and dye techniques of other cultures.  Many of the symbols I use are adaptations of traditional symbols of protection.

Then, of course, there are other motivations.  One day it might just be the color blue.  Another time, the focus could start with a piece of Spanish moss hanging outside of my studio window.

Just for fun.... a series of jackets were created from my drop cloths!
